is she really a Fille du Roy?

Geneviève Laurence and her husband Adrien Michelon first appear in records in New France in October 1665 with the baptism of a daughter.  No prior record for either of them has been discovered here.  She is currently sitting under the Filles du Roi banner, but neither Landry, PRDH nor Migrations sites list her as one.  Landry used to have her in his list, but removed her in his 2013 revision of his book.

They are established in Québec city, so it cannot be a question of remote location records gone missing.  I am of the opinion that they actually married in France and came here together, which would negate the FdR.  Have found the existence of Michelon families in La Rochelle and in Saintonge, links on Adrien Michelon's profile in notes.

So, do we keep her as a Fille du Roy or not?  Would need help in research in France, right now they are sitting with unknown locations other than France.

She is not included included on «Silvio Dumas's » list.

Geneanet has a marriage contract indexed for Adrian Michelon & Geneviève Laurend in 1664 in Paris. If this is your couple, that'd mean you're right.

Ditto .. yes
