Land Title records for searching modern relatives

I have a signatory for a known relative death record being [Canada] Province of British Columbia, Provincial Archives, Registration of Death: Number 1991-09-019652 Elsie Ballantyne.  She gave her name "Gwynet J. aka Sandy Ballantyne" AND address as daughter .  It would appear that Gwynet is using her maiden name.

Elsie was the spouse of [[James Ballantyne|Ballantyne-873]]

Q: while I can find the owner of that address from BC Land Titles (vault search $120), it occurred to me with a name like Gwynet (unusual in these parts), I may be able to trace Gwynet or the address owner for descendent relationships.  Is this a productive way to find modern relatives?

whitepages.com gives you likely relatives' names for a lot cheaper than a title search. I don't know well it works in Canada.

Whitepages.com only takes US locations, unfortunately.

I tried using http://canada411.ca/search/address.html but didn't have any luck.

Between the Red Deer Advocate and The Province refs, I think we are well on our way.  Thank you so much!

However, the Land Titles question still remains.  We have date restrictions on vital statistics for privacy reasons but in terms of tracing relationships via land titles, I wonder if the same restrictions apply.  It's expensive but is it viable.  Any opinions on this?
