merging profiles when no profile manager

Question

While sourcing an unsourced profile, I've come across another profile for the same person. The profile I'm sourcing has a profile manager but the duplicate has no profile manager. If I initiate a merge, what happens if there is no profile manager to agree the merge?

I'm sourcing Tait-3164 (which has a profile manager). The other profile is Tait-131 (no profile manager)

The same problem exists with Crichton-1204 and Crichton-95(no profile manager)

If the profile with a manger receives approval the merge will be ready to complete.  If that PM does not respond the merge will receive an auto approval in 30 days after it was proposed.

Maybe adopt the profile, then merge.

Yes, if you do this, you become a co-profile manager of the merged profile. I was surprised by that when I adopted a profile in order to merge it!

When the PM agrees to the merge, it should allow that PM to complete the merge immediately.
