Is it appropriate to add cemetery categories for lost cemeteries?

Specifically I am referring to small farm cemeteries transcribed in the mid-20th century by the DAR, which may no longer exist. Are cemetery transcriptions adequate evidence of the cemetery and burials to create categories for them by WikiTree standards?

I find that many family cemeteries had no official name and were referred by different names at various times or in different records.  Many of the small cemeteries on Find A Grave have several AKA names listed.  This adds an additional complication to categorization.   If you have a few ancestors in DAR records and no current known cemetery is found the it's probably ok to add.  I would not recommend adding cemeteries based solely on DAR records.
I was a little surprised to see the Cemeterist Project had no policy in place (that I could find) on the best way to deal with lost cemeteries - but maybe they are uniquely common here and in very few other places.

Would it be a better idea for me to only make an FSP for the cemetery with any pertinent sourcing and info, to which I could then link my profiled interments and add the page to the county cemetery category?

Edited to add:  The families I am currently working on had two reported farm cemeteries (not in any other databases I have found) amounting to about two dozen people total. The transcription records offer B/D info not documented elsewhere, so it seems important info to link on WT - but also possibly too few people for a category on their own.
Twice in researching such small, usually family, cemeteries I have found that the burials have been moved but the markers left in place. In both cases that info was only discovered by contacting local orgs (historical society or town clerk).

My understanding was that cemeteries project only creates categories for existing cemeteries and not for those that no longer exist.

As for small farm cemeteries, done on the property of the family involved, this might clarify things: Wikipedia, Cemetery, see Family

T. Stanton and Danielle, thanks for the input and advice!
There are categories for some cemeteries that no longer exist.
Good to know - thanks Melanie.

I don't know if there is an official policy, but I have added cemeteries that only have two internments in them and were obviously on the property of the deceased owner.
