Who is Marchant Thomas parents?

I am trying to find the parents of Marchant Thomas.  Many people have Abraham Thomas but the dates don't match. Marchant Thomas married Jemima Hamilton.  He was born approx 1771 in Culpeper VA and lived in Greenville SC.  His son, Joseph Thomas was his son and my 4th great grandfather.  Marchant Markum Thomas died in Breathitt Co. KY in 1858.  His wiki tree is Thomas-13909

If not, permit me to offer some suggestions - 1) If Marchant Thomas has a profile page on WikiTree, edit the field at the bottom of your G2G question to replace your WikiTree ID with his ID. 2) If you have any info on him, share it with us so that we will know where to look since there very well could have been dozens of hundreds of people named Marchant Thomas throughout history (even just the birth date and place could help).

I didn't.  i have hit a brick wall.  there is nothing beyond him.  I took out the wrong parents and nothing is flagging.  I checked familysearch and nothing is coming up. I checked DAR and nothing is there.  i am going to look for his wikitree next as you suggested. I reached out to someone who is researching the Thomas line and she said that Marchant is not part of the Abraham Thomas
