Looking for parents of Edwin Field b: 29 Dec 1799, Providence RI, d: 4 Aug 1867, RI; spouse Mary Ann Eddy. Two possibilities: John Field 1756 RI-1829 RI, wife Lucy Marsh 1764 MA-1853 RI. Other possible wife is Lucy Look 1772 MA-1854 MA. John Field's parents Eliakim Field & Esther Graves. Lucy Marsh's parents Ebenezer Marsh & Achsah Stearns. Lucy Look's parents Noah Look & Hannah Holley. All info greatly appreciated!

Edwin Field's (1799-1867):parents were John (1755-1829). and Lucy (Marsh) Field (1764-1853) of Providence RI. John's parents are unknown. Lucy's parents were Ebenezer Marsh and Achsah Sterns. View more information on this, including their biographies, on Family Search. John Field's ID is GFMT-VWT) Lucy Marsh's ID is GFMY-WGR. A recently discovered probate record, posted on Family Search, helps to clear this up.   

Many years ago errors were made, that perpetuate to this day, that incorrectly identifies Edwin Field's parents as John and Lucy (Look) Field of Conway Mass. It is this John Field whose parents were Eliakim Field & Esther Graves, and this Lucy (Look) Field whose parents were Noah Look & Hannah Holley.
