Welcome aboard, Jeffrey!
You may find this page helpful concerning how to set up your profiles:
https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Help:Adoptions_and_Multiple_Parents
It may be tricky to find more information about your biological father. You can try using the Roots search tool on the right side of the profile. Sign in with your Wikitree ID and password then add the profile ID. Then choose a database. I suggest starting with FamilySearch. If you find some correct information, copy and paste the citation given and add the fact it proves to the biography. You can also get to this tool on the family tree tab or the Wikitree ID drop down menu.
You might also want to check out the project list. Projects often have lists of regional resources that may help you with your research. The project list can be found under the Find drop down menu.
Good luck with your research and come back here to the forum if you have any other questions.
