General open question about DNA testing.  As a male, I have yet to have a test made.  My question revolves around the female versus male DNA test and that is this:

1.  As a male I would think the male DNA test would be more supportive in determining a true link to ancestors?

2.  Also, my grandfather was born in 1880 and I would suspect the male DNA testing (if done by me) cannot support true DNA connectivity to anyone born (+/-) circ. 1900 as DNA testing was never available and there probably does not exist any blood samples from family male members prior to me?

3.  So how would my male DNA test provide a positive evidence trail to my paternal side of our Hoyle family?

Thanks for helping me better understand how I plan to proceed.

Jim, try adding a dna tag to your question to get more views from the proper people who can answer your questions. Sorry, I'm clueless in this area. Maybe also adjust your title to better reflect your dna questions.
Thanks for your response.
