"Coulinoers" in Scottish Wedding 1773: Meaning?

I was transcribing an image I had previously purchased from Scotland People getting ready to create a new profile to upload.

"1773 ... for the Bride Caulioners proclaimed according to orders and married."

All the other entries on the page has "Caulioners"

All I can find online is hints to being related to pledges.

CAN ANYON ENLIGHTEN ME?

I did not ask this question, but learned a good deal from your answer.  Thank you.
buried in ScotlandsPeople webpages are gem answers to lots of questions.

Thank you. Nx
I would agree totally, someone somewhere should do an index of all this vital stuff (or maybe it's there and I just haven't looked!!...)
Good idea.  Something like:"Solutions to Common Problems." I learned about WayBackMachine in my PIP voyage, otherwise I might not have encountered it.
