Did you see the Cemetery Map Update?

Question

I just released a rather large update to the Cemetery Maps application.

One of the most notable improvements is faster map loading times through the use of clustering. Initial tests show that map speed has increased 75%.

Additionally:

• Data is now retrieved directly from WikiTree+ (thank you Aleš)! At the top of the page, you will see the date/time of last data update.
• The search option has been reconfigured for searching Cemetery Names.
• Legend is collapsed by default and moved under zoom controls (hover or click the 'i' to expand).
• Added Layer themes (top right) so users can choose their preferred map style.

For the techies, or those who want to use map links, I have added a function for Query Strings. Every time you move the map, the URL will update with a customized URL that marks your current map view. You can then copy/paste this link to share with others (e.g., Sterling-White Cemetery).

It looks great but how what is needed to get a cemetery added?  My main focus is this one, but there are others in the area not yet showing on the cemetery map:

Hi Gwyneth,

The Cemetery data is updated periodically during the week based on information provided in the CategoryInfoBox Cemetery template.

So for a cemetery to be included on the map, it must have the CategoryInfoBox Cemetery template present, and the coordinate parameter must be filled out.

As an example, see this category page that is fully filled out and included on the map: Sterling-White Cemetery.

Wow - it sure does load faster.  Fantastic map and all the cemeteries near me are showing on the updated map, hooray.  Now to get some more profiles added to those and work on the list of missing cemeteries.   Thanks!!!

The Cemetery Map just keeps loading for me. The 'data freshness' text is added after some seconds, but the map itself stays at the loading screen. This is happening since a few days, on both Firefox and Chrome.

Do more people have this problem?

Looks like a new bug since the last data update - thanks for letting me know! I was using the map on Wednesday, so I know it was working then - but I am looking into this now.

After I push an update, you sometimes have to force a reload. Other than that, there is tons of data being processed, so it can take a minute to load :)

I somehow missed the update about the query strings, that's really great Steven, will be very handy for free space pages and other project pages.
