unmerged match might actually be valid

Would someone please check?  This family name was spelled both Bidgood and Bitgood.  Benjamin here might be the same person, with his birth and death dates aligning.
WikiTree profile: Benjamin Bidgood

Both of them refer to the FamilySearch profile LH5V-JM3, so they probably are supposed to represent the same person.

I see no reason that these two are not a match. I would remove the Unmerged Match, resubmit and ask for a valid reason for rejecting the merge.

This was not a rejected match. It was an unmerged match. This means a member was not entirely sure it was a valid match, or perhaps there was a conflict preventing merge (such as different parents on the two profiles), or maybe they were new to WikiTree and feeling timid about merging.

In any event, if another member determines that that an unmerged match is ready to merge, that other member can remove the unmerged match and propose the merge (similar to what Kevin has suggested).
