Can/Should I add profiles to the GEDI spreadsheet?

I have been correcting profiles with problems in their headings.  In many cases, the profile I open is full of GEDCOM garbage.  Sometimes I fix them, but other times, I feel overwhelmed by the task and simply close the window without making any fixes.  For example: [[Hibbard-21|William Grant Grant Hibbard (1846-abt.1916)]].

Today, I discovered that there is a spreadsheet for profiles with GEDCOM garbage.  Is there a template or sticker that I could apply to bring those profiles into the GEDI spreadsheet or otherwise alert GEDI that they are problem profiles?

I don't know whether you need to add anything to the spreadsheet but you could correct location fields and add maintenance categories (ie unsourced) and/or the gedcom category. Correcting the location fields helps out the profiles into the right lists while maintenance categories will bring the profile to the attention of members who can help improve it. More here:

I believe just adding the category [[Category:Needs GEDCOM Cleanup]] that Peggy mentioned to the profile will add it to the list.

Also, the WikiTree AGC browser extension is amazing, and will perform a pretty decent automatic cleanup with one fell click!

As Peggy said you can add the category. Even better try the AGC extension recommended by Joe.

It does make sense to request a GEDCOM be added to the GEDI list so that all the profiles get attention. You can ask in G2G or on discord. Unfortunately, we only add GEDCOM that were imported by a profile manager whose account has been closed. Unfortunately, the example you posted above doesn't qualify.

Kay always posts a new G2G thread each month, so you could also submit a question / comment to those threads, requesting a gedcom be reviewed for use during the challenge.  Unfortunately, the list that we currently have to use is quite large, so we only have a small percentage of the Gedcoms in the Challenge spreadsheet.  We are also limited to using Gedcoms from PMs that have closed accounts, as Kay stated.
