Brick wall on parents

I have tried coming at this from every direction I can think of.  I find plenty of sources for Effie Wilson Dalseth's husband, Jens Larsen (1872-1915). Both are born in Minnesota, him in Todd County, as well as most all of his extended family. DNA tells me that her family also comes from Norway.

Effie's full name is Effie Regina Wilson.  She was born on August 15, 1885 in Little Sauk to John A Wilson and Ingeborg "Ida" Olson.  She was baptized September 27, 1885 at Little Sauk Lutheran (https://www.ancestry.com/sharing/27422729?h=67c7cc).

Effie's death certificate (https://www.ancestry.com/sharing/27422611?h=d11868).

Here are her parents in the 1895 census, residing in Little Sauk township: https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:MQDK-3SS

And again in the 1900 census: https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:M9QS-T9B

Effie and Jens married on January 13, 1904 in Todd County, it's in the Minnesota Official Marriage System (you'll have to search it yourself, as I'm not sure links work from there, but Jens' last name is misspelled as Salseth).

You have discovered my general reason for pulling my hair.  It looks so possible, until you take into accout the daughters born 1907, & 1909 both in North Dakota
I've been looking further into this.  Effie's whole family relocated to North Dakota.  John Wilson died June 29, 1919 in Smoky Butte, Divide, North Dakota (https://www.ancestry.com/sharing/27423192?h=def8e1)

The 1910 census that shows Effie and Jens living in Boulder says Marvel and Leona were born in Minnesota.  I'd have to dig a bit and see if they actually have certificates for Minnesota, so I'll get back to you on that.  Plus, Effie's sister Amanda was with them in Boulder (https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:MKWG-RHS).

Here's Ida and her children living in Renville County in the 1910 Census: https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:MLGK-MF5

John was farming in Divide County during the 1910 census, likely the land was newly acquired, and the family lived in Renville County while he set it up: https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:MLGC-WS8
Looks like I have an insight into their births in North Dakota.  Effie and Jens had a daughter in 1906 named Inez Leanora, who died within a day of her birth.  She was born in Crookston, Polk, Minnesota (https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:WX1G-MQW2). Here's the odd part. She's buried in Bottineau County, North Dakota (https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/9923209/inez-leanora-dalseth).

I can't seem to find them in the 1905 Minnesota census. So, either their name was horribly butchered, or they were living in North Dakota by this time, and only were visiting when they had Inez in Crookston.

Hi Debra. It looks like her parents are John A. Wilson & Ida Olson of Little Sauk, Minnesota.

"United States Census, 1900," database with images, FamilySearch (https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:M9QS-TS9 : accessed 14 February 2022), Effie R Willson in household of John Willson, Little Sauk Township, Todd, Minnesota, United States; citing enumeration district (ED) 195, sheet 4B, family 75, NARA microfilm publication T623 (Washington, D.C.: National Archives and Records Administration, 1972.); FHL microfilm 1,240,794.

Her gravestone {{Find A Grave | 19263962}} was made /ordered by her daughter, Leona, who believed her middle name started with a M.  Effie`s youngest child was born & died in 1914 in Idaho.
