Rita Goguen, 4 X GGD of Joseph Goguen has died.

Question

Rita Goguen born 1919 in died 2 February 2022, she was a direct descendant of Joseph Goguen who was born 2 May 1741 in Morlaix, Bretagne, France and died 1825 in Cocagne, Colony of New Brunswick.

She was the youngest of 5 daughters of Philias Goguen, Goguen-534, her older sister born 1915 is still living.

The family are interested in adding her information to WikiTree.

Our sincere condolences to her family and friends. It is a good way to honor her memory by creating a profile and connecting her to her ancestors.

Anyone can create profiles of non-living people on WikiTree. We want everyone to help grow and enrich our collaborative tree. However, we need to be very sensitive when creating and editing profiles of people who died in the past few years if we are not a close family member. 

Would the information be considered sensitive or private for a living person, or difficult for grieving friends and family?

If you are not confident that family members would be comfortable seeing the information on WikiTree do not create the profile or keep it private until more years have passed.

Thanks Gisèle, I will double check with my very good friend her nephew. He has been researching the family history for many years and planned to add his branch of the family to the Goguen information already on  WT. I'll let him know that WT help is available if he needs it.

I posted because the Goguen family are so entwined in Acadian history that it seems like the end of an era, she and her siblings grew up in a time gone by, her descendants and those of her siblings live in a completely different world.
