Jillaine Smith is a Wonderful WikiTreer

Question

Jillaine is a truly helpful presence on Wikitree. She recognizes the importance of including all genealogical information on profiles, and she doesn't allow her own biases or opinions get in the way of that. Even when a profile is disputed or when someone tries remove and conceal important information from these profiles, she steps in and rectifies the situation with fairness and transparency. She deserves all the "thanks" she can get from users on this site!

For some reason, profile managers on profiles that have g2g posts associated with them are not notified when such g2g posts are created; I'm only now seeing this almost 8 months later. Thank you, Chelsea.

Such a notification can be sent, but only if someone posts the Wonderful WikiTreer template (  {{Wonderful WikiTreer|g2g=xxxxxx}} ) to the person's profile.  
The person posting it needs to include the actual g2g thread ID# where I have the =xxxxxx so for this to have notified you, it would need to include g2g=1362159 in the template when posted to your profile as a comment.
(I did this for a while for some folk, but after being rudely attacked for whatever the reason was (I forget now), I mostly stopped doing it except for folk with whom I have had very positive interactions, making it clear I am only the "messenger", not the one making the g2g post.) 

Sometimes it seems to work well, including the image, other times for whatever reason the image doesn't show.

Yeah... I would not want someone posting such a template on my profile. How would one do that anyway, without admin privileges?

I've just never understood why g2g posts associated with any given profile do not generate some sort of notification to the profile manager(s) of that profile. That just seems key to collaboration.

Posting a comment to someone's profile does not require any kind of privileges.
