merge direction and children [closed]

I have avoided merging records since I became a member because I'm not entirely clear what happens to differing data in the 2 records.  I have Bouck-49 and Bauch-86 comparison page in front of me.  They should be merged into Bauch-86, I believe, but what happens to the child attached to Bouck-49?  Does it come along with the merge.  I'm leaving this as is until I get some responses.  Thank you.

The children will be brought along with the merge.

To expand on Kevin's answer, all of the children from both profiles come along with the merge.  If children are also duplicated, the duplicate children will appear as siblings under the merged parent profile.  That makes duplicated children very easy to recognize.
Thank you both.
