Any Carmack's around that could help me? Alabama/North Carolina

Question

My written family tree is sometimes very hard to read.  I have been working on this one line for 15 years and cannot get concrete sources or proof of anything.

What I do know is my line up to this gentleman: Furnifold Kent Carmack.  Or at least I think that is his first name. He was born in Craven, North Carolina and died in Loachapoka, Alabama.

I have just made his profile with what I think I know and thought I would throw it out and see if anyone on WT is related to him.  I am so frustrated with this line after all these years I really would like to figure it out.

Any help would be very appreciated.

I thought I would respond to this.

I found a descendent of Thomas Meron Carmack and Sarah Whitman that Lorene matches.   It lead me to the 1870 Census.

Which led me to the marriage record and I am going to change the birth and merge with my records.

I have no idea if this may help or not however there is a Kent family DNA project with shows Furney's wife;s name and  Carmack and perhaps their children somewhere in the information here: https://www.familytreedna.com/groups/kent/about/results
