Does anyone have detailed / accurate information about the movement of personnel from 2nd Med. RCA Petawawa, Pembroke, Ontario to the UK in 1941in preparation for the Dieppe landings. Losses and casualties and the dates of the survivors’ subsequent return to Canada.
I am looking in particular for any information about Gunner Frank Bergeron (Bergeron 1682) who was at Petawawa in June 1941.and who was subsequently billeted in Brighton Sussex UK. I believe that he may have been wounded either in the run up to the landings or at Dieppe. He was known to have been in Brighton in October 1942.
Does anyone remember Frank Bergeron or have information about his time in Brighton or repatriation to Ontario and when he may have been discharged from the RCA
I have asked Library and Archives Canada (LAC) for help but they do not have details other than deaths
