George Franklin Sawyer

Question

I'm looking for parents of George Franklin Sawyer, b. Spanish Wells 1881, moved to Key West where he died at age 49. His obit lists a brother Vincent in Nassau and a sister, Agnes Pinder.

If anyone can help, I would be so grateful! I have no idea how many Sawyers that were among the early settlers.

If you look up the Sawyer surname and enter Bahamas for birth location, you can find a John Sawyer born there in April of 1815 and a Jabez A. Sawyer born 1833. Both individuals moved from the Bahamas to Key West.

By entering an earlier time frame, you can find a Joseph Sawyer b. Bahamas in 1797. https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:MFH8-1JL  These Sawyers also moved to FL, to Dade County.
