I have been going thru the profiles I am guardian for and trying to make them better. I try to make it so the sources are in chronological order and it a slow process. I adding  children and their spouse and such as I can.

The one I linked I am thinking of adding his parents and sister and other ancestors(I still in the research stage). It has taken ages to track down his parentage, although I did have the names. In researching the surname for his father varies through the census though most the documents use Berry. For his father the names used is Barry or Borry, and Peters parents. Arthurs mother and sister are interred under the name Barry. So would it be best to use Berry and just add the alternate spellings in the other last names field or use Barry for his sister and Mother etc? I know it confusing as it also confuses me.

My personal preference practice for this profile (and profiles in a similar situation) would be, unless a contemporary birth/baptism record is found with a different spelling, to keep the current LNAB, as that is the spelling  used on the marriage record, as well as the spelling and signature used on the military draft card.

edit: added strike-through and italic text

Good point Lindy.  I have also found names on headstones that are different then the census and  birth records, yet I know they are the same person/family.  I will use your suggestion, thanks.
