Should I ask the Adoption Angeles for help

My biological father is unknown (except a name and rough estimate of age). He is not the person listed on my birth certificate nor is my surname his (there has been a paternity test to prove it) I don't know if he's alive or not and never seen a picture of him. My mother hasn't been a wealth of knowledge in the situation, so I slightly expect the name she gave me (last name Collins) might even be false. I was hopeful that there'd be some DNA miracle and I would have a random match pop up for a half-sibling, aunts, uncles, ect., but alas, I'm still at a brick wall. So I have about as much information on him as an adoptee might (I think). Should I go about finding him that way?

My mother is living but I divulged no info on her. What should I revise exactly? She knows I don't trust the info she's given me, if that's what you mean.

Thank you!
I'm with Adoption Angels and I second what Gaile said. We can use your DNA to figure out your birth father, even without super close matches. Our application is the second item under the help tab.
