Still, not open.  Very frustrating.  I put a census on file a long time ago, Can someone over ride this?

A potential issue is that Margrette Plaxico (The name on the census records) doesn't fall into the "must be open" requirements. She was born in 1904 and died in 1972 according to https://www.familysearch.org/tree/person/details/GW36-6ZG . That means that the profile manager is allowed to leave it at the Public "Green" level privacy. So it is reliant on them to do any changes.

I do see that the profile manager has replied to your message on her personal profile but has ignored the sources providing the names and birth data you had provided. There are more sources on the familysearch profile I have linked to.

Tanya, Darren is correct in that this profile is not required to be open, based on your having found a birth date of 1904.  It is public (shown by the green lock icon), which is completely proper for it. Instead of demanding that the manager open the profile so that you can edit it, you might ask the manager to either add you to the trusted list or use the source records you provided to make the corrections herself.  I would also recommend that you not put criticisms or accusations in a public comment on someone's profile.  In this case, the manager is not in violation of anything, plus the honor code also requires us to assume that other members have good intentions.  It is entirely possible that her lack of response to your comments last December somehow fell by the wayside and a more gentle request from you might be much more likely to get the response you are seeking.
I have tried all the above  and then some ... and wasn't getting much useful help about it and saw othershad been asking her to check things too like merges.  Who knows what happens to people...sometimes illness or life cause them to be busy.  However, it's not supposed to be closed off.  I do believe the 100 year thing was n effect, so...we shall see.  the person is NOT unknown...that I find a strange thing to do on here. Thanks
If the person passed in 1972, then they are NOT 'living' then are they and this profile states that.  So the name ought to be filled in.  Just my opinion.
By the way, the only real interest I have in this profile was My line of Lowry's that  tied into the Boyce  family, i created all the other Plaxco's siblings, (at least most of them anyway) but since PM was unresponsive, it was going now where, so now  I have dropped the whole herd of them.  Perhaps PM can pick them up and close them too.  I am glad someone could see the tree and her date of death.  AS it stands as green, which means only the trusted list can edit (and I asked to be added due to the above reason...they are family) the profile needs work, which is in the comments section now anyway, so nothing is hidden.  But it is still and odd thing to do.  Anyway...moving on to collaborate elsewhere.  Thanks Darren.
Hello Tanya

The rule for a profile needing to be open profile is simple. If the person was born more than 150 years ago from the current date then they should be open. So May 1871 for a birth date. The other rule is 100 years dead from the current date i.e. May 1921. So the profile in question which you have identified as Margrette Plaxico does not fall into either criteria as the birth/death dates are 1904/1972 . Just cause she is dead does not mean her profile must be open privacy level.

There are some people who will "Lock" profiles at the various privacy levels until forced to open via the 150/100 year rule and there are some people that will open profiles that died no matter when. I am one of those that prefer to open dead profiles whereas the Profile manager of the question profile may be a person who uses the privacy levels as allowed. That is their right even though it can appear to be anti collaborative.

The other issue is that when the profile in question was created in 2011 the standards for GEDCOM import was very lax and profiles could get imported with names like Living Unknown and with no dates. So there are a lot of profiles that are not compliant with current standards that can be untouched and look bad for those who look at them only knowing the current standards.
Especially, when one is inadvertently related and no response...but it's all good.  Much more to focus on in life.  Thanks Darren.

Did you contact the profile manager, following the procedure? If there was no response you can follow the unresponsive profile managers checklist. That will enable the team to open up the profile.

Finally got a response!  Now to see if she follows through.  Thanks to all and I will return if not resolved.
