Who is Chellis Goodwin and where did he come from?

Question

Chellis Goodwin was born in New Hampshire but where is not known. I can't find any record of him prior to when he married on 20 Jan 1820 a Hannah Wells in Grafton, Landaff New Hampshire. I can account for quite a few events right after that up to his death and burial. I can not find any information on his origins or birth family aside from a few undocumented family trees on the net. Would love to have help with collaboration.

check the 1800 census for Goodwins in Grafton County for men with a son about 10 years old, then look for the wills of these men to see if Chellis is named

I did a search for those files but can’t find anything prior to 1830 for Grafton.

Thanks for your response. I have everything from his marriage in 1820 up to his death. Nothing before that.
