The creation of my Bowen pedigree has stopped at Roxbury MA in the latter half of the 1700s with Samuel Bowen-2383, as I can find no definite evidence of who his parents are. There are two couples who are candidates: John Bowen-9066 and Mehitable May-11977 (likely) or Josiah Bowen-2393 and Mary Winchester-267 (less likely). Or there is the possibility that he is a Samuel of completely unknown origin (least likely). I have created a free-space profile laying out the situation and discussing the issues, highlighted below. Help, ideas or comments on this issue will be most welcome!
I currently have Bowen-2383 entered as a child of John and Mehitable Bowen, as I believe that is most likely where he belongs, but I have not yet written his profile as I am still pondering how to structure it. I have, however, written profiles for John and Mehitable and all their children, paying special attention to Joshua Bowen-9354. I have only in recent days become actively involved in WikiTree, and creating this family's profiles has been my first significant project. Comments and (gentle) criticisms are most welcome.
