Bowen/Borden Handwritten 1925 Falls River (Troy) deed is on EBay!
"Abraham Bowen" on the deed is most likely the BROTHER of Lizzie Borden's Great Grandmother, Martha "Patty" Bowen Borden (a Bowen who married a Borden, Richard). Amanda is his Daughter, and is an only child, (and SHE is another Bowen who ALSO married a Borden, John). I'm sure John C. Borden is linked - I just can't find the tie. All sites on the internet say that Abraham Bowen DIED in 1824. I think that this Deed says that they are selling a portion of Abrahams estate here - and it was signed in 1825. It makes sense.
So, that being said - WHO IS THE 'ABRAHAM BOWEN' THAT SIGNED OR ATTESTED TO THIS DEED IN 1825?? I can't find another Abraham, EXCEPT for LIZZIE BORDEN'S GRANDFATHER - whose full name was Abraham Bowen Borden. He was the SON of Martha & Richard. The timing would work. WHO signed the deed as Abraham Bowen??! Can anyone help me figure that out? Could it have been Lizzie's Grandfather, Abraham Bowen Borden??
