John, thanks for persisting in order to get your photos posted. I was inspired by your efforts to post some instructions. Here's the link.

John, What a great picture!

Put your mouse on the picture. Right click, "copy image location." Then go to the Photo Challenge and ANSWER. Type your text in the box with the green border. Then look up top for the photo icon. It is supposed to resemble a sun and 2 mountains. (Starting on the right with the face icon, it is the 5th one in). Click there. This will open a dialogue box. In the space for the URL, paste the image location. Over on left are some boxes. The first one is Width. Click there. Your picture will appear. Click OK. Then click Add Answer (below, in the green box.)

This is such a great photo. I hope everyone will get to see it.

Thanks, Joyce, I was hoping to pick up on your help again, as you, Alexis, M Ross and others have assisted my wife and I to get this far..... must get my head back together devil .....over the top we go, this year! laugh

Joyce, I chose this answer because it instantly worked!......WikiTree says Be Bold, so I jumped right in!surprise

John, now that you know how to do it, I hope to see some more pictures. The easiest thing to do is to print this page off and put it on your refrigerator. . . I will add some more details, and if anyone else has a problem posting pictures, I will refer them to this site.

Happy Valentine's Day!

PRIVACY PROTECTED: If your photo is privacy protected, no one will be able to see it. (There will be a closed lock emblem on the profile page.) You will first need to move it to an open page. You have several options

(A) move to the profile of someone public, such as your grandmother OR

(B) every Photo Challenge question has a link to the free space for that week. Move your picture there. You can use that free space for any picture, even if it's not for that week's Photo Challenge. OR

(C) you can upload a duplicate copy directly from your computer to a free space page.
More advice on posting pictures

PICTURE IS TOO BIG OR TOO SMALL

In the photo dialogue box, look for the box on the left labelled WIDTH. Change the number in this box. Then OK and Save.

To change the size after you've posted, click EDIT. Then put your mouse onto the photo, click IMAGE PROPERTIES. This will open the dialogue box again. Proceed as above.

TO FIND THIS OR ANY OTHER PAGE AGAIN

Up in the right corner (next to John Thompson Images)  is a little gray cross. Click there to save to Favorites. It will be saved on your G2G page, down near the bottom, labelled Favorites.

The easiest way is to print this page and put it on your refrigerator.

I love seeing everyone's pictures. Thanks to everyone!

Hey Joyce......On  first reading your comment, I took it as 'print the instructions and put them in my refrigerator and if anybody has a problem posting a photo contact me', on second reading I think that will work too. laugh
