Hello there-

Just stumbled upon this wonderful site full of Rude family members. I have Rude's in my family tree dating back to Norway and settling in Iowa. Looking forward to finding connections!

Welcome to WikiTree, Talli. You have come to what I think is the best place on the internet to work together to form one large tree. Be sure to let your Greeter know if you have any questions about how to upgrade.

I found the "Diary of Lewis W. Rude : DeKalb County, Indiana, for the year 1864" in a second-hand store. Here is a link to the Free Space Profile (FSP) that I created for it that tells a little about that family. Are they connected to your Rude family?

I look forward to seeing your twig grow within the branches of WikiTree.

I don't believe I have a Lewis Rude or IN connections at the moment, but it's possible! I'll have to do some digging. Thanks for the lead!

Welcome to WikiTree Talli, and thank you for introducing yourself. I am so glad that you found us and are enjoying yourself.  I would recommend that your next step would be to upgrade to a family membership, adding tags that represent your family names and/or locations.  When you add these names and locations you will immediately be connected to other members who are researching these same names and locations that you are.

Welcome again to WikiTree, and remember the greeters are your best friends. Have a wonderful week.
