Hi Barbara. Welcome to G2G! There are a lot of good examples of sources here:

https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Help:Sources

But if you would like to let us know exactly what kind of source you want to start with, then maybe we can give a more precise answer. You can add information to your question by going to its G2G web page and clicking the "comment" link.

To add: by searching the England and Wales GRO site, I found four Charles Morrisons born in 1882, but only this one was born in Nottingham:

<ref>[https://www.gro.gov.uk/gro/content/ England & Wales General Register Office, GRO Online Index - Birth] (accessed 5 February 2021), database entry for Morrison, Charles (Mother's maiden surname: NEEP), GRO Reference: 1882 S Quarter in NOTTINGHAM. 431 Volume 07B Page 387.</ref>

I've formatted it as a ref source, so that if you think it is the right one you can add it as is to the profile. Note that the mother's birth name is Neep.

The easiest way is to edit the profile, and then add your source after the line that says <references/>.  You would start each source with an asterisk (*), which will look like a bullet, then type the source.  You can also embed them as references, or footnotes.  That is explained in the help:

https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Help:Sources

Once you add at least one source (more is better!), then you can remove the {{Unsourced}} from the top of the profile, which will get rid of the orange banner saying that the profile lacks source information.

If you need to find a source, I recommend trying RootsSearch.  If you look at the right side of the profile when you aren't editing it, you'll see the link under the "Research" heading.

Both Jim and Paige are right! smiley

Jim has formatted an "in-line" citation that goes after the fact it proves.  These are always above the == SOURCES == line.  You can create these yourself by using the icon that looks like a "C" (for cite) on top of the biography box.

Paige suggests adding just a list of sources reviewed, which can be placed after the == SOURCES == line.  If you put anything with <ref>citation</ref> after that line, it won't show up.

Have fun!
