She was born in 1828-1830 in Nova Scotia in Canada, married Ninian Hislop in 1851, moved to Huron/Canada West around 1860, emigrated to the U.S. in 1867 (that's the year her husband Ninian was naturalized as a US citizen) and settled in Iroquois County, Illinois. It's unclear whether she died in Illinois or in Toronto, Ontario, but her death occurred on August 2, 1886...She abandoned her family or went to visit her family of origin about 1886... and never came back... might have gotten sick in Ontario... not sure. Supposedly she's of Irish descent. Have ZERO info on her family outside of this info. It's possible her family were Tories in the US who relocated to British Canada. due to the Revolutionary War or the War of 1812.
