Hi Andrew,

There is not a lot information to find parental lineage. I did a quick search and look into Leon and Leandre Dubuc born between 1850 and 1860, for whom I cannot find marriage and/or death and/or 1881 Census records, and the only one left is:

Léon DUBUC, son of Étienne Dubuc et Marcelline Denault/Deneau, born 30 AUG 1856 in Chambly. Godparents: Damase Dubuc &  Emerentienne Duquette

Baptism: https://www.ancestry.ca/imageviewer/collections/1091/images/d13p_11180672

1861 Census: https://www.ancestry.ca/imageviewer/collections/1570/images/4108677_00193

1871 Census: https://www.ancestry.ca/imageviewer/collections/1578/images/4395445_00380
This helps and possibly is parental lineage

Thank you

I did a search and there is a Leandre Dubuc who was born in either 1849 or 1850 according to the 1851 and 1871 Canadian Censuses. He was the son of Jacques Dubuc and Judith Choiniere.

Another interesting lead maybe some more obit info can steer it in the right direction
Born 1851, he marries Philomène Gélineau, on 1881 Census in Canada.

Sorry I haven't found anything useful to add about Leander.  I followed a lead in Adams MA but that one's obit says he spent his life in Adams and went to high School there so it rules out your Leander.

However, I noticed from their children's marriages and other events that you posted that Leander's wife was Almira/Emma Parrot.  Her age in the 1880 census was 22, which is very young to have a seven year old.  Nevertheless, have you noticed the 3-year-old Almira Parrot living in Plattsburg, Clinton Co. NY in 1860?

If that is her and she married in Plattsburg, there may be a church record that gives Leander's father's name.

Bit of a long shot perhaps.
