Lemira A (Barrett) Goodhue (1849 - 1929) (Calvin Coolidge’s Mother-in-Law)

Lemira A. (Barrett) Goodhue was born April 26, 1849 (obit says 1850) the daughter of Thomas Townsend Barrett and Lorena Fretts. It seems she is mentioned as Elmira (do we add the name “Elmira” as a nickname or preferred name. Gravestone shows her as Lemira). Lemira married Captain Andrew Issachar Goodhue (1848 - 1923) in 1870 or 1878 (Need exact date as obit shows 1878?). The couple had one child a daughter named Grace Anna (Goodhue) Coolidge (1879 - 1957)  the former First Lady and wife of former President Calvin Coolidge. She passed away October 24, 1929 in Cooley Dickinson Hospital. She had only one child per obit.

We need help adding to her paternal lineage and updating her name properly. What is her middle name?

Any help in collaborating on her profile is appreciated

Thank you

Note: it appears most of the source links are invalid?

Also date of marriage is most likely 1878 not 1870

The Marriage year per family search appears to be 1870. Their daughter born 1879. Obit says Marriage year was 1878. Interesting. The sources are very helpful in getting a start

Note: the age of Captain Andrew Goodhue was 22 on Marriage record which matches 1870 since he was born 1848.

Dear Andrew,

I have added Lemira's father Towns Barrett's parents Joel and Mercy (Townsend-9110) Barrett. Also siblings of his. Working on some spouses for Towns' siblings now.  -NGP

Thank you so much I’m really trying to tie in the Barrett lineage
Oh-oh, I've got the wrong people attached.  Going to fix it up a bit now.  There is another Towns Barrett from New Hampshire and his records make much more sense with Lemira.  Stay tuned!  -NGP

Your on the right trail. Thank you laugh

Got to break for the night.  Will try to get back to this line tomorrow.  G'night!

Thank you. Amazing job yes

Dear Andrew,

Thanks for all the work while I was sleeping.  Hope you are in a different time zone!  I'm in Atlantic Standard time.  This morning I merged  (Henry) Leroy Barrett-11354.  Only use of Henry is in the 1850 census.  Onwards and upwards!
