On April 3rd, 1684, was baptized Elizabeth Margueritte Morreau, daughter of Estienne Morreau and Anne Marie Nordsfelt(?), her father and mother, dwellers of Oberhaus, the godfather was Philippe Meruson and the godmother was Elizabeth André, both from this parish, undersigned. I am quite sure the name of the place is Oberhaus, but I cannot find where it is. It is probably a village next to Homburg, but its name must have changed. Other records in this register using the phrase "bourgeois de..." refer to small places not too far.
I am also sure of the names of sponsors. Meruson seems to be a common name in Homburg (FamilySearch often does not get it right, with spellings like Mecusson). Elizabeth André is the wife of Gaspar Payen, royal attorney, who appears in several records.
I am not sure at all of the name of the mother. I could not find it anywhere else.
