Leslie West has died

Question

Leslie West from the band Mountain has died.  His biggest hit was "Mississippi Queen".  He died Dec. 22.  His song writer Felix Pappalardi, who was murdered by his wife is on Wikitree.

Years ago, my friend's band was supposed to go on a Mountain "come-back" tour as the opening act, but the singer & guitarist got into a fight 2 weeks before the first gig, & the band broke up due to "artistic differences"!  What idiots!  My friend never got another shot at fame.

Leslie West (born Leslie Weinstein; October 22, 1945 – December 22, 2020)[2] was an American rockguitarist, vocalist, and songwriter. He was best known as a founding member and co-lead vocalist of the hard rock band Mou  ntain.

West was born in New York City to Jewish parents,[1]but grew up in Hackensack, New Jersey, and in East Meadow, New York, Forest Hills, New York, and Lawrence, New York.[3] After his parents divorced, he changed his surname to West.[1]
