My 9th GGF Anthony West was b June 1592 in Otley Yorkshire. Unfortunately the Baptismal (June 26/1592) record does NOT show his father's name. Ancestry Trees list his parents as Richard West of Otley and Dorothie Thompson of Hagworthingham Lincolnshire. But the Richard West she married was ALSO from Hagworthingham, not Otley Yk. They married in 1584 in Hagworthingham, which is about 110 miles south of Otley Yorkshire, so I can't imagine they would have been Anthony's parents. There IS a Death Record for Dorithie Thompson in Otley for 1632, but why would they have moved there? His parents must have been local to Otley. I can see no Marriage records 1582-1592 in Otley for a West. If anybody who's familiar with Otley ancestry or the West family can assist, that would be appreciated!
