Map showing the birth and death locations for ten generations of predecessors for one of my gateway ancestors to the global family tree.

Identify gateway ancestor(s) to the Global Family Tree (e.g. Thomas Keene https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Keene-9).

Go to that profile and click on the Edit tab.

The url (Web address) for that page is https://www.wikitree.com/index.php?title=Special:EditPerson&u=190772

Copy the 190772 at the end of that url.

Click on the Family Tree & Tools tab (for Keene-9)

Scroll down to Location Maps and click on the link for WikiTree+’s Map Navigator

Copy https://wikitree.sdms.si/findmap.htm?aid=10816946&grouptype=A

Replace 10816946 in that Web address with 190772 so that you have https://wikitree.sdms.si/findmap.htm?aid=190772&grouptype=A

To make that Web address usable on a WikiTree profile, copy the web address and add a space at the end, and a descriptive word or words.  Then enclose that in square brackets (e.g. [https://wikitree.sdms.si/findmap.htm?aid=190772&grouptype=A Birth & Death Locations for my Gateway Ancestor's Predecessors] )

Click on the above map to go to the live map.  Zoom in to see the names of the predecessors.  Birth locations are blue and death locations are red.
