How use American Revolution Category

I have a number of "suggestions" or errors that I cannot resolve. I am using the American Revolution category, but according to its page:

https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Category:American_Revolution

we are not supposed to use it on individual profiles.  The linked help pages from that category page are either generic about how to categorize, or how to categorize 1776 project profiles.

There's little about how to categorize people who served IN the war.

I've asked this question before (couldn't find it) without receiving an answer. I'm asking again, hoping someone with experience in researching American Revolution ancestors and with categorization can advise on how to resolve these "errors."

Thank you.

At the very least, you can opt for using the lower level categories for United States or Great Britain. There are categories for Loyalists as well, and Patriotic and Civil Service. Lots to choose from. If the unit category has been created, you can browse through the states:https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Category:United_States_of_America%2C_American_Revolution to find the ones that have already been created

Also, the sticker has been changed so that it is , and it has only 3 parameters. See:https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Template:1776_Sticker

Thank you, Natalie; that's exactly what I needed!

Okay, I did it on https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Doolittle-145https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Doolittle-145, and it generated the following category:

"1776 Project Needs Sticker Category Review "

Before I add it to the others, can you check my work, please, Natalie?

Probably means the category is not already in the structure and will be reviewed by 1776 project. I'll look at it.

So, for the unit= you have to enter the complete category name, minus the Category: part. I did and now it's displaying correctly.
He is recognized with both patriotic and active service as a Lieutenant in two states - Vermont and Massachusetts.

Does he not then qualify for additional 1776 stickers, one for each state, too.?
Every profile I’ve put the new sticker on ends up in “needs review” even though i copy the existing  category exactly. So I’ve just started adding the Category manually.

Try this layout.  Anthony  Street (1710-bef.1790). https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Street-132

Also this one.  Edward  Cochran (1748-1816) https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Cochran-4517

My best one to date.  ....  Wentworth  Cheswell (1746-1817). https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Cheswell-3

These are all using the stickers, categories and layouts.
