Mistaken Identity - Anne Browne Hutchinson confused with Anne Marbury Hutchinson

In working on the Hutchinson and Cushman families, I came across the profile below which you might assume was Anne Marbury Hutchinson.  I am virtually certain that this is not the famous Anne Hutchinson, though, but instead is another person with the same married name, and the "Marbury" name in this profile has been attached incorrectly.

Confusing matters, like Anne Marbury, this Anne also had sons named Francis, Edward and Samuel Hutchinson born in the same era.  The sources listed on the Anne Browne Hutchinson profile look good to me, and Mayflower Families Through Five Generations refers to Ann Hutchinson with the same information.  The Adam Hawkes book even cautions not to confuse this Anne Hutchinson with Anne Marbury Hutchinson, but clearly someone did.

I haven't found any source for the connection to the Browne family, so I'm not sure where that comes from.  But I'm going to place this note on the Anne Browne profile to ensure that future researchers don't make this mistake.

I know this is old but it's the same person.  I see no proof that her husband was the Thomas Hutchinson who died or was dismissed from church at Boston by 1632 (his actual fate is not known).  Whether her surname was "Brown" also seems to be quite a bit in question, but I'm focused on Hutchinson at the moment having just cleaned up his profile.

Several of the sources on her profile are not available on the internet, does anybody have access to them to see if they have any solid sourcing for her Hutchinson husband?

Thank you Kyle for adding your note to Browne-548.  It is a great help to the Magna Carta and the Puritan Great Migration projects to have such clarity on similar profiles.

Great work, Kyle.  I did some narrative clean up and raised your note , slightly modified, to the top of the profile. Needed more immediate attention than you gave it.  Also project protected so she can't be merged away.

Good, that makes me feel better that the profile has project protection as I could easily foresee merge trouble later.

I'm trying to set an example here as well, because I think we need more communication like this amongst ourselves.
I want to thank both Kyle Dane and Jillaine Smith for helping to protect the identity of my 10th Great Grand Mother Anne Browne Hutchinson (Hawkes).  I have had problems in the past of someone merging the wrong people together because they had same or similar names and it is a Headache to get things back on the right paths.  Thank you both so very much for taking the time and trouble to help keeping this and I know you have helped with other profiles from merging away.

Respectfully,

You're welcome.  Unfortunately, the reality is that when "famous" profiles are involved, the sloppiness that we sometimes see in online genealogy seems to multiply.
