The name  for  the MARY ELLEN  ROBERTSON  DAR chapter of  Leesburg Fl was chosen  because  she  was the wife of J.M. Robertson who  with  his  father  was the  first  non Native  American settlers to  the  area.  She  died  at the  age of 29(circa)  after  bearing  7  children. We  know  her  life, but do  not  know  where  she is  buried.  Mary  Ellen  Morrison Robertson -12538. Would any  geni be able  to find her or are any of  her  descendents out  there?. According  to  a  news  article one  of  her  children was buried  under  what became  Eckerd Drug.

It looks like their marriage was recorded with his name being Robinson instead of Robertson. I found the record on FamilySearch. It was the only marriage to a Mary E Morison/Morrison on record for 1848 that I saw.

Name: John M. Robinson
Event Type: Marriage
Event Date: 23 Jul 1848
Event Place: Marion, Florida, United States
Event Place (Original): Marion, Florida, United States
Gender: Male
Spouse's Name: Mary E. Morison
Spouse's Gender: Female

"Florida Marriages, 1837-1974", database, FamilySearch (https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:V5ZM-6PB : 11 January 2020), John M. Robinson, 1848.

Thank you  to  those  who  responded, I  hope  I  did unlock  her  profile, I  should  not  have locked  it. The  information  you gave  me  is  much  appreciated, now if  anyone  can  find  her  death notice  or  burial site.  We  think  it  may  be  here  in  Leesburg  but do  not  know. She  seemed  to  be  listed  in  a  census  for  Marion  County, Florida.
