CeCe always gives a great overview of the field and shows prescience about where things are going next. I was a tad disappointed when she opened her talk by mentioning the power of using clustering and genetic networks--but then did not mention it again the rest of her talk. She also discussed the recent decrease in the rates of DNA testing at the various companies and offered her thoughts on why that might be. One point she did not make--which relates to where things might be going next--is that DNA testing remains heavily skewed towards North Americans of European descent and Western Europeans. If the DNA testing bug ever spreads to other parts of the world, imagine how big those DNA databases are gonna get in the long run!
