Why is this profile unconnected?

I am participating in the connect-a-thon for the first time this weekend, and I'm having a challenge.  I created a profile for [[Barton-8399|Joseph Barton]], who is a son of [[Barton-1615|Roger Barton]].  Roger is showing degrees of separation from King Henry, which is understand means he's connected to the Global Tree, but his son does not.  Why is that?

The program that does the connecting is run periodically, around once a day.  So update on their connection status occur when that update is run.  It is not automatic.  If you connected to someone with Henry VIII then just wait about a day and it will then show up.

Alll new profiles will be updated once every 24 to 48 hours depending on when they were created.
