Problems with the Change Explanation auto-population

During the Clean-a-thon, i used the autopopulation feature on my changes extensively. Unfortunately, I assumed it was working correctly. Turns out that most of my Data Doctor - Error 868 xxxxx auto populates turned out to say something like "da" or "dat"

I promise that when I hit enter, the field had the proper explanation showing.

I apologize to all those whose profiles I changed that now have no idea what I was doing. I even tried to be very explicit in many of them where I moved a note with an inline citation up above the ==Sources== line.

Any explanation on why this happened? I have used the autopopulate many times with no problems....

I've made a note on the list of bugs and suggestions for the change explanation field https://trello.com/c/xE6mdnNl/.

This should be fixed now.

I brought this issue to light on February 18, 2020.

See my question here:  Why does the comment I add in the second “explain your changes” field not show up in the activity feed?

That would explain it. I was using the 2nd explanation field mostly...

Thanks
