Alexander Macdonald

Birth :Kylarchel, Laggan, Inverness-shire, Scotland 4 Oct 1760

I'm trying to research who his parents were. I am led to believe he was a descendant of Allan 'Dearg' Macdonald of Keppoch and was related to Bishop Ranald Macdonald. Any help would be appreciated as I have hit a major wall. Alexander had four children. Three daughters and a son Peter Patrick Macdonald b1789 Blargie Croft Laggan Scotland died May 1871 Victoria Australia.

Peter is my 3rd great grandfather

Thankyou.

Hi Frank,

Thank you for searching

My Alexander died 13 Jun 1846 Possibly Fort William or around Laggan and The Blaggie Croft area.

Just can't get any info on his parents. If I had any hair I would be pulling it out.

Frank,

You are a legend!

I really appreciate everything you have done for me.

Paul
Paul,

There was a Findlay McDonald who married Catharine Williamson 10 Nov 1754 at Glasgow, Lanarkshire, Scotland.

Findlay McDonald, Scotland Marriages, 1561-1910.

There is a Scotland Project. The leaders are Amy Gilpin and Bobbie Hall. You may want to contact them. They have a team of six Coordinators. They could be a resource to sleuth out a better answer to your question.
Thank you.
Possible as his son Alexander, who married Margaret had a daughter named Katherine plus Anne and Charlotte and one son Peter who emigrated to Australia.

You have been a God send
