Did some municipalities record widow's thirds separately from land divisions among heirs?

I have been going through probate records for Salem County, New Jersey, and after looking at a bunch of cases of intestacy, I notice that the land division records all seem to be just including the heirs and not mentioning the widow's thirds. I am much more familiar with New England records, where it seems always the dower portion was carved out as part of the division record. Are there places that separated these two parts of the probate into separate records (e.g., Salem County, New Jersey)?

I have not seen this done, Barry, but cannot say for sure. Although closed, State Archives staff are answering reference questions by email during the shut down and are knowledgeable as to colonial documents and law. njarchives@sos.nj.gov
