Formatting question for sources

Question

In several of my profiles I have noticed that my editing results in the * showing as properly as bullets (boldly centered dots preceding the source line). However if you see my provided url "McNett-6" you will find that they simply remain asterisks *. So, I guess that there is some inconsistent editing on my part...I just don't know what it is. Can someone answer this? Thanks in advance.

Check to see if there is a space before the *.  Deleting the space usually solves this type of problem for me.

Simple Mark though I had to look at another Profile of yours to figure it out as Mary's Profile isn't Open and I couldn't look at the editing text.  So I looked at her husband Royal's and I saw the same problem.  Two were just asterisks and the Find A Grave had the proper bullet.  The fix is to make sure the asterisk is in the very first spot on that line. This is what I did for Royal.

If you have a space then the asterisk it doesn't work properly.  Many of the special characters for formatting must occupy that first space to work.  The =, *, : for example.  Everyone here has done it one time or another.
