Hello Everyone, wanted to introduce myself and also thank all wikitree volunteers for the research they do and the time they spend doing it. Your research does make a difference in my life and others.

Also, would like to express how much i do enjoy genealogy and learning about my ancestors. I would like to thank wikitree again for keeping wikitree free for all.

Please visit my profile page and contact me if you have any questions or information about my family tree. My Genealogy Library Is Extensive.

As of today, i am focusing on the WHITNEY Family of Williamstown, Vermont And Surnames connected.

Please, if you find any connection with my tree please contact me.

Thank you

Welcome to WikiTree, Eugene.  Lovely photos you have added to the profiles of your ancestors.
Hi Eugene, I corrected your list of surname tags so they wouldn't all run together. This should make it easier for people to find your post. Unfortunately only 6 tags are allowed, so the tags for Peak, Thayer, and Bannister were dropped. Since you are mainly focusing on Whitney here, it probably doesn't matter too much, but feel free to edit your tag list as needed.

Hope this helps!
Thank you.

Still learning how to. On wikitree.

Thanks again
Thank you

Will post more as time permits.

Grandparents And My Father left Albums Of Family Photos To Me.

I put them on findagrave also.

Thanks again

Eugene
Hello, cousin! (9th cousins once removed, apparently)

My 8th ggm is Tabitha Fulham Hunt Whitney b 1696 Concord, MA. Looks like your same line, as your Whitney ancestors are from the same area. From that same line, the original Whitney immigrant from England, John Whitney b 20 Jul 1592, was actually the founder of Watertown, MA.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Whitney_family

Direct paternal line starting at your Whitney-5385

Elijah Whitney Jr (1755-1842) m Lydia McElwain (1709-1769)

Elijah Whitney (1707-1755) m. Rebakeh Winship (1709-1769)

Isaiah Whitney (1671-1712) m Sarah Woodward (1675-1715)

Thomas Whitney (1627-1719) m Mary Kettle Kendall (1630-1719)

John Whitney (Principle Founder of Watertown) (1592-1673) m. Elinor Arnold Braye (1599-1654)

Welcome Eugene. Whitney is my direct line, my mother is a Whitney. The relationship finder shows we are "Eugene and Lori are 11th cousins"

I know this is far off, but I am there if you need any assistance with research.

Happy Researching, Lori

Thanks for the hello
Thank you for the information
Hello Eugene. I, too, am new but I see you have already done a lot of work! Saw that you also had a tag for "Hatch" so I checked our relationship (the deep dive) and I show us being 16th cousins, common ancestor is Hutchinson-431. If you ever work that line, I would be interested in helping. Regards, Jonathan

After checking again, it appears that you and Eli Whitney are connected in that you both have a common ancestor, Hugh (Venables) de Venables Knt. Hugh is Eli Whitney's 14th great grandfather and Hugh is your 19th great grandfather.

Like you, I also have a Hayward line from New England.

Hi

I havent looked at your profile yet.

Have you been DNA Tested ?

I'm Having A Family Tree DNA Done At This Time. The Results Are Not Back Yet From FamilytreeDNA. The DNA Test Being Done On Me Is The ( Big Y-700 ).

My Father Had His Done And Is Shown On His Profile In DNA Section. He Left Me In Charge Of His DNA Information In His Will After He Passed Away.

My whitney line still needs to be proven.

Thank you for getting back to me.

Eugene
Frank, Eli Whitney and Eugene are both descended from Whitney-125. They would have the same Y-DNA.
