Vada was born in 1904. She was the daughter of Bob McWhorter and Nettie Cockerham. She passed away in 2006.
She married James Cecil Lunsford on 19 December 1923, in Rush Springs, Grady, Oklahoma. Their children were Joan (Lunsford) Kuhne and Gene Elwain Lunsford (1925–2010).
Vada had been a resident of Pampa since 1926, moving from Megargel. She and her husband owned and operated Lunsford Bit and Machine Shop.
Vada passed away on 24 October 2006 in Pampa, Gray, Texas followed with burial at the Fairview Cemetery (Plot: Sec. E) in Pampa, Gray County, Texas.
