DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships.
It is likely that these
autosomal DNA
test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Mary:
Joy-1182 and Joy-337 appear to represent the same person because: dates and locations approximately the same. daughter the same (see text of joy-1182. Thanks
Joy-1409 and Joy-1182 appear to represent the same person because: Hard to find similarities. HOWEVER, the 1181 profile is undeveloped, and Sarah, along with her Wiki ID of joy-1181 can be found among children of Ephraim and sarah on Benjamin Joy's profile which currently lists his alleged siblings. The book where the list of children most likely came from says that Benjamin's presence in this family is by conjecture, not proof. So leave Benjamin aside, and take note of the parentage listed in his text. Thanks
Joy-2178 and Joy-1182 appear to represent the same person because: Birth and death dates and places the same. The 1182 profile is not developed, but Mary's name and WikiID number appear on a list of Ephraim and sarahs child on [[joy-1176|Benjamin Joy's profile, currently being edited. See his Changes if needs be.
The document cited in footnote 2 appears to show filing of intent on March 17 and marriage on May 26. "York, March 17th 1724/5. There is a Purpose of Marriage between George Gray & Mary Joy both of York. - Married May 26, 1725" (Notice the change in handwriting recording the intention and recording the marriage.)
