In the 1861 census Margaret (age 18), Dairy Maid, was the servant of Andrew Jamieson in West Huxterstone, Newhills, Aberdeenshire.[2]
Margaret's marriage to Peter Kemp was registered in 1863 in the Old Machar Aberdeen Burgh district. She was 19 when she married on 31 Dec 1862 the daughter of William Grant, farmer and Margaret Grant ms Spence. Andrew Spence and Charles Strachan were the witnesses [3]
In the 1871 census Margaret (age 29) was the wife of Peter Kemp in Greens Cottages Causewayend, Old Machar, Aberdeenshire.[4]
In the 1881 census Margret (age 38), Farm Laberour Wife, was the wife of Peter Kemp in Hilldowntree, Banchory Devenick, Kincardineshire.[5]
In the 1891 census Margaret (age 47) was the wife of Peter Kemp at 7 King Street Pl, Aberdeen St Nicholas, Aberdeenshire.[6]
Margaret's death (age 68) was registered in 1912 in the Canongate district.[7]

her parents were not the ones entered - this profile has had a lot of edits so perhaps started off as being attached to the correct parents but with husband and children it was easier to remove her from Lewis Grant and Elizabeth Hogg. i added another Margaret Grant to those parents
