Biography

Elijah Grant, the son of James Grant and Rachel (Stone) Grant, was baptized in Berwick, York, Province of Massachusetts Bay on 15 July 1722.^[1] Based on the date and place of his baptism, Elijah was probably born in Berwick slightly earlier in 1722.

First Marriage and Children

Elijah and Sarah had the following children:

1. Rachel, b. 22 April 1754 in Woolwich, Maine^[2]
2. Elisha, b. 28 November 1754 in Woolwich, Maine^[3]

Second Marriage and Children

Elijah married, second, Hannah William in Woolwich on 22 November 1770.^[4]

Elijah was baptized as an adult at Rev. Josiah Winship's church in Woolwich, Maine on 14 August 1774.^[5] Elijah's second wife, Hannah, owned the covenant at Rev. Josiah Winship's church on the same date.^[6]

Elijah and his second wife Hannah had the following children:
