I was born the first of identical twin girls. The doctor who delivered us at home became a famous poet - Dr. William Carlos Williams. We were born 40 hours apart with a day in between our birthdays. I attended Colby College in Maine, but dropped out in my junior year to get married. My first marriage was to Peter Anderson and we had three daughters. My second marriage to Eugene Dargle produced three more daughters and a son. We raised our family on a small homestead in the Finger Lakes area of NY - a lovely area. I eventually went to work as a secretary for a nearby Army installation and later moved to Silver City, NM where I transferred to the USDA Forest Service and worked as a Procurement Assistant and again transferred to Clemson, SC where I became the business manager for a Forest Service Research Unit. Upon retiring, we moved to Forest, VA for about ten years where two of my daughters lived and eventually moved back to Maine where four of our children live and I love Maine.

PS I think you joined before we started sharing the How-to pages with members. It has some quick tips on working with both the Wiki pages and our other members which may come in useful
Thanks for taking the Pre-1700 Quiz.
Because pre-1700 ancestors are shared by many descendants, working within the projects which coordinate them is essential. You can learn more about joining the community in How To #3 and in the Project FAQ.
Use the Pre-1700 Projects list to find one which best fits your research focus, whether time period, location, or special event. Read the goals and tasks of the project and join if it is a good fit.
Let me know if you have trouble finding projects which fit your focus. Click my name, then ask in the comment section of my page.

WikiTree is different because our goal is to have one profile per person, and that means we all work together as a BIG collaborative team!
You'll get an email from us that has helpful links to get you started on WikiTree, which is not like any other genealogy site out there.
When you confirm your email address, youll have an opportunity to volunteer and tell us about your genealogical interests.
What brings you to WikiTree? Do you have research youd like to share? Are you interested in how your family fits into the big tree? Fill in the tags and comments on your profile to show what you're researching? and click the "Save Tag(s) and Volunteer" button, and one of our Greeters will be happy to confirm your membership, and youll be on your way!
